Welcome to our Website

Bravado at 14!. This is our club’s battlecry. Like a 14- year- old, RCP Metro is conscious about our growth in membership.

To promote global peace and understanding, we apply our vocations to create jobs and we view each project as a potential attraction for Peace Tourism. In 2000, we got the support of the local government and it declared Parañaque as a Rotary Peace City. This year, we initiate the “Rotary Peace School Project” and “Resident-friendly Development” training series in Barangay BF Homes in the City of Parañaque.

We are inspired by the growth in global support from Rotary Clubs in England, Netherlands, Maryland (USA), Korea, Malaysia and Indonesia after the successful holding of the 1st Projects Fair Philippines last year. This emboldened us to venture into the “Family of Rotary EMS” as Rotary Volunteers Program to address disaster risk reduction and injury prevention. We hope our matching grant application is approved for so that emergency medical technicians can traverse the narrow alleys in their bicycles and trike ambulance. An initial grant was secured from the Metrobank Foundation for the piloting of this model. In addition, we shall install Project 143 in Barangay Alamanza Dos, Las Piñas City in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross.

From our chartering in 1997, our club has been consistently working for maternal and child health and the 5 aspects of adolescent health (physical, mental, social, vocational and spiritual. You will better understand who we are when you read our vision and mission statement and the lyrics of our club song.

Our signature project is a back-to-back intervention of literacy and nutrition programs for the pre-school children and economic empowerment for their mothers so that malnutrition eradication extends to the home. The twin project is dubbed as “Barangayan ng Kabataan sa Kalusugan” and “Barangayan sa Kalusugan ng Kabataan.”

A District Simplified Grant will introduce Concentrated Language Encounter (CLE) or Lighthouse strategy in daycare schools through the partnership of teacher and parents. Clinica Familia continues to operate in the same barangay to address the preventative and curative needs of the community since year 2006.

I will treasure for the rest of my life the joys of the many exhausting days and sleepless nights and most especially the many touching moments and triumphant occasions. and the great privelege to serve the society.

By God’s grace we continue to be one in Building Communities, Bridging Continents.
